Welcome to Mallasajjan
Mallasajjan School is a community school that is aiming to help children nurture their talents and also be responsible citizens.
At present the Mallasajjan English Medium School is recognized by the Government of Karnataka and affiliated to the Karnataka State Board. At present the school has two divisions for each class/grade starting from the Lower Kindergarten (LKG) to the 10th standard. At the
end of the 10th standard the children of the school write the SSLC exam conducted by the KSEEB The campus is abuzz with approximately 1000 children and 50 staff
to look after them.
We also stress the importance of play and games not only for physical fitness but because it brings out character too. The school is also trying to create experiences to make education more meaningful.
The year was 1928 when ground broke for the starting of the Mallasajjan Vyayam Shala, a centre for physical training in Dharwad, Karnataka. It was a place dedicated to promoting good health and bodybuilding.
The Vyayam Shala was started by Shri. K. G. Nadgir in the year 1928. The Mallasajjan Vyayam mattu Arogya Shiskshana Samsthe (also better known as the MVAS Trust) took inception in the year 1966 under the Mysore Societies Registration Act (1960). To expand the service to society and the community, the Mallasajjan English Medium School took birth in the year 1997. Mallasajjan English Medium School was started with a clear aim of being a community school to help children nurture their talents, create a holistic character and also be responsible citizens. The individual aspirations of the child should be balanced with the social responsibilities. The school is also stressing the importance of play and games not only for physical fitness but also because it brings out character in the children. In order to achieve these goals the school is creating experiences to make education more meaningful.

We pledge to create a safe learning environment where mutual respect, exploration and risk taking are encouraged and where mistakes are regarded as positive learning experiences.
In such an environment creativity, critical thinking, care and concern for others, and problem solving skills are developed which will prepare our children to live in a diverse and increasingly dynamic world.
